Calanda peach (kg)
This delicatessen comes more specifically from Calanda, Aragon in Spain and neighbouring towns in the province of Teruel.
It is internationally renowned for the delicate production process resulting in a fruit of intense aroma and exquisite flavour.
This fruit is very appreciated in the market in addition to its great size for a delicious sweet flavour that activates the natural aroma of the best peaches in the world.
The Calanda peach is also easily recognizable by its calibre. The thinning technique involves removing 70% of the fruits that exist in the tree, leaving a distance of 20 cm between the fruits. This exclusive cultivation technique gives us a peach of large volume and fleshy which must have a minimum diameter of 70 millimetres.
It is cultivated in the traditional way through the process of manual bagging in the last 2 months of ripening where fruit is pocketed one by one on the tree ripening within a protective bag that guarantees the pure status of the peach and protects against chemicals and external agents.
Is easy to differentiate from other varieties by the colour containing straw yellow and cream yellow which recognise the authentic Calanda peach under the protection of the indigenous variety 'late yellow' and its commercial clones.
