Mandarin Oronules (kg)
Oronules originated as a mutation of Fina discovered in 1970 in Nules, Spain. The vigor of the tree is good and it develops an open spherical shape.
Clementine Mandarins for sale available in our online store, gourmet fruit with excellent appearance and flavor.
The Oronules tree
It has an open growth habit, with very short internodes that makes it have a dense and leafy appearance. The branches are thornless.
Bulges with a multitude of buds appear on the branches and trunk, as well as in the graft area.
The leaves are small, narrow and leathery, dark green with a tendency to curve towards the underside, sensitive, like the fruit, to sunlight. Bulging with multiple buds is also observed in the axils of the leaves.
The flowers have yellow antennae, with abundant viable pollen grains.
The fruit
It is of similar average size to Nules, but considerably smaller than Marisol, which matures in the same period, usually at the end of September in the main producing region of Spain. The use of plant growth regulators has been found particularly effective in increasing fruit production and fruit size.
The rind is an attractive intense red-orange color that gives this fruit great appeal. Its skin has a soft consistency, pleasant to the touch and comes off easily, making it easy to peel. Its pulp is of very good quality and is practically seedless. The quality of the juice, which is especially good and on par with its Fina relative, is great tasting, with high levels of sugar creating a balanced and healthy balance.
It has low production, however, and an inconsistent flowering pattern.
It combines excellent exterior presence with exceptional internal quality.
Buenísima calidad de las mandarinas. Un saludoMaria Antonia
